Dr Jocelyne LEVILLAIN
Maître de Conférences, HDR
Section du Comité National n° 12
Section du CNU n° 32
Jocelyne Levillain studied chemistry at the University of Caen and completed in 1994 her Ph.D. thesis on « Bifunctional N-substituted 4-alkylidenequinolines by an eschenmoser approach » under the supervision of Dr. M. Vazeux. After six months at the Royal College of Surgeon in Ireland as a post-doctoral coworker (with Prs K. Nolan and D. Fitzgerald), she returned to Caen in Dr. J.-L. Rippoll s group where she was involved in the chemistry of reactive thioketones and silanethiones generated by flash vacuum thermolysis. In 2001, she joined the group of Pr A.-C. Gaumont and she is now involved in the chemistry of chiral ionic liquids. She is presently Maître de Conférences at Normandie University.
