Travaux de recherche
Le groupe travaille sur deux thèmes expérimentaux qui se recoupent et qui sont liés à la « chimie verte » et la catalyse.

 

Nouvelles méthodologies de synthèse organique respectueuses de l’environnement
Nous avons été pionnier dans le développement  des réactions supportées (1980), des réactions sans solvant (1983), des réactions sous irradiation micro-ondes (1989).

Nous développons de nouvelles technologies en synthèse utilisant des phases solides ou des liquides ioniques :
– réactions par chromatographie sur colonne (Wittig-Horner)
– synthèse de nouveaux liquides ioniques chiraux ou résistants à haute température et leurs applications (réactions de lactonisation, couplage oxydant, applications analytiques).
– synthèse sans solvant ou dans l’eau ou / et sous irradiation micro-onde (synthèses de lactones, synthèses d’acides phosphoniques)

 

 

Synthèse de nouveaux acides phosphoniques et applications
Nous avons développé de nouvelles synthèses d’acides phosphoniques et nous avons cherché à les valoriser par des applications diverses développées en collaboration avec des laboratoires de chimie (électrochimie, chimie analytique et séparative, nanomatériaux, matériaux).

En effet les acides phosphoniques étant des agents complexant des ions métalliques, nous les avons utilisés comme :
– agent extractant (extraction sélective d’ions métalliques)
– agent précurseur de matériaux hybrides organique-inorganique : préparation de catalyseurs, de matériaux microporeux.
– agent pour la modification de la surface d’oxydes inorganiques (agent anticorrosion, immobilisation de catalyseurs, fonctionnalisation de nano-particules magnétiques)

Indépendamment de l’aspect synthèse, depuis trente ans, nous avons une tradition de collaboration avec des laboratoires de chimie théorique et chimio-informatique sur des applications en chimie organique.
Actuellement nous nous intéressons à la problématique de l’ acidité carbonée liée avec nos applications synthétiques de catalyse en utilisant des méthodes quantiques (DFT) et aux applications en  prévision des relations structure-activités (QSAR) en utilisant des méthodes chimio-informatiques (réseaux neuronaux, machines à vecteur support, noyau de graphes).
